Reafforestation and Dune Fixation in the Gaza Strip

UNRWA embarked on a scheme to anchor the Gaza strip's drifting sands and make at least one-third of the clay plain beneath them available to cultivation by refugees. In cooperation with the Egyptian administration UNRWA crews have already set out a million potted mimosa seedlings in Government nurseries.
At a government nursery, workers plant seedlings under the supervision of an agricultural expert.
