A Jordanian Instructor (right) translates a lesson into Arabic for the benefit of trainees attending an instructor's course. In 1961, 4,565 teachers, themselves refugees, were employed to direct activities in 370 UNRWA schools and 3 vocational training centres. Teacher training to improve present techniques and develop new teachers has become a vital part of the educational program.
