UNEF Danor Battalion Headquarters Moves to New Camp
The Headquarters of the Danor Battalion of the United Nations Emergency Force moved on 13 August from Beit Hanun to a new camp several kilometers east of Gaza Town. The new camp is still under construction, and the Danish Pioneers together with Canadian engineers are working hard to complete it as soon as possible.
The Signal Platoon of the Danor Battalion was given the task of putting Danish Staff-Company Signal Platoon working on a telephone line outside the new camp outside of Gaza. The soldiers are (l-r on truck): Pte. Bendixen of the 1st Regiment; Pte Hansen, from the 5th Regiment; Corporal Peterson, of the 9th Regiment; and (on the ground) Pte. Kristensen.
