Preparatory Committee for Special Disarmament Session Begins Meetings

The Preparatory Committee for the Special Session of the General Assembly Devoted to Disarmament began this afternoon its fourth session. At its meetings, which run until 24 February, the Committee is expected to complete most of the advance work for the special session, which is to be held in New York from 23 May to 28 June.
Fereydoun Hoveyda (Iran) who was elected as a Vice-Chairman of the Committee.
