Palestine Refugees

The Palestinian conflict forced into exile nearly a million Arabs from the region which has become Israel. Thirty-two per cent of the refugees live in tent, hut or barrack camps, 68% in towns and villages. Children, pregnant women and old people receive milk, and supplementary meals on medical advice, with the help of UNICEF. Food for this programme often comes from the donations of voluntary organizations.
