Lease Agreement Between United Nations and Thailand Signed for New Office Building of ECAFE in Bangkok
Secretary-General U Thant and the Foreign Minister of Thailand, Thanat Khoman, today signed a lease agreement between the U.N. and the Government of Thailand for the site of new office buildings to be constructed for the Economic Commission for Asia and the Far East (ECAFE) at its headquarters in Bangkok. The site is adjacent to Sala Santitham, the presents ECAFE headquarters, which is made available to the Commission gratis by the Government of Thailand.
