Cattle Shipment for UNRWA's Agricultural Training Centre in Gaza

Three pure-bred Jersey heifers and a bull were loaded today aboard the SS Mohamid Ali el Kebir at Hoboken for shipment to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency's newly established Agricultural Training Centre at Beit Hanoon (Gaza). The cattle will form the nucleus for an experimental herd at the Centre, which is the first to be created by UNRWA for the purpose of training young Palestinian Arab refugees in various phases of agriculture. The shipment is made possible by the co-operation of Heifer Project, Inc., through which the cattle were donated.
