Thirty-four Governments Pledge Total of About $33.5 Million to UNRWA for 1965

Thirty-four Governments this morning announced pledges, or their intention to make pledges, totaling the equivalent of about 3.5 million to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) for 1965. The pledges were made at a meeting of the Ad Hoc Committee of the General Assembly for the Announcement of Voluntary Contributions to the Refugee Programmes.
