Thirty-four Governments Pledge Total of About $33.5 Million to UNRWA for 1965

Thirty-tour Governments this morning announced pledges, or their intention to make pledges, totaling the equivalent of about $33.5 million to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) for 1965. The pledges were made at a meeting of the Ad Hoc Committee of the General Assembly for the Announcement of Voluntary Contributions to the Refugee Programmes.
