International Aid to Morocco Paralysis Victims

Over 10,000 persons in Morocco were left paralyzed following widespread mass poisoning caused by the adulteration of cooking oil by aviation lubrication oil. Red Cross societies, WHO and UNICEF are among the international organizations which rushed aid to the stricken areas.
Canada Red Cross physiotherapist Muriel Ranger (left), helped by a Moroccan nurse, is seen here giving treatment to a young woman patient at the Dar Mahres hospital in Fez. About 150 patients are under treatment at this centre.
