United Nations Emergency Force (UNEF) Troops in Rafah
The United Nations Emergency Force, since its creation during the winter of 1956, has maintained a constant vigil along the Armistice Demarcation Line and the International Frontier. In addition to several observation posts, patrols of scout cars and jeeps, maintaining a continuous radio contact with the battalion headquarters and UNEF reconnaissance planes, are carried out along this 140-mile frontier.
A supply convoy is leaving for Canadian outposts on the International Frontier from Recce Squadron Headquarters Camp, Rafah. Leading the convoy is a ""Ferret"" scout car which proceeds all convoys and patrols.
