UNEF Commander Pays Tribute to Departing Danish Norwegian Troops

Departing Danish and Norwegian soldiers of the United Nations Emergency Force (UNEF), who are scheduled to return home later this month after serving six months with the combined Danish-Norwegian battalion in the Gaza Strip, were honoured today by Major General E.L.M. Burns, UNEF Commander.
General Burns is seen here reviewing the assembled troops which were under the command of Lt. Colonel C.O. Pedersen, of Denmark. General Burns also thanked the men for the valuable service they had given, recalling that their battalion had always been in the forefront of UNEF activities.
