UN Military Observers Keep Watch in the Suez Canal and Golan Heights Areas

Military observes of the UN are maintaining their watch in the Suez Canal area and the Golan Heights sector of Israeli-occupied Syria. They are under the direction of the Chief Staff of the UN Truce Supervision Organization, General Odd Bull. Observes were sent to the Middle East on the instructions of the Security Council in July of 1967. Their members are around 200.
