Salvage Work in the Suez Canal

Six sunken tugs - the ""Barq"", the ""Ardent"", the ""Agile"", the ""Quirsch"", the ""Cheddid"" and the ""Actif""-- were raised in eight days in Port Said harbour by the UN fleet., early this month. This picture shows one of them tied alongside the UN salvage craft ""Zeehond"" (flying the UN flag) after having been re-floated. January 1957.
