UN Salvage Craft Complete Task of Towing "Akka"

Lt. General Raymond A. Wheeler, special representative of the UN Secretary-General, in charge of the clearance of the Suez Canal, announced this evening that the landing ship ""Akka"", which yesterday was pulled by UN salvage craft away from the point where it had blocked the Suez Canal, arrived at its beaching ground in Great Bitter Lake at 5 p.m. (local time) today.
