UN Welcomes French President

3 April 1951

On 3 April, a reception and an official luncheon were given at the Waldorf-Astoria Starlight Roof by the United Nations in honor of the President of the French Republic and of Mme. Vincent Auriol. This picture, taken during the reception, shows President Auriol shaking hands with Mr. Ralph Bunche, Principal Director of the U.N. Division of Trusteeship, winner of the Nobel Prize in 1950.
