Permanent Representative of Gabon Presents Credentials

Jean Davin was Gabon's UN Representative from 1969-1972, and held the post of Gabonese Ambassador to Italy from 1973-1980. From 1976-1980, he was accredited as Ambassador to Turkey and Greece while residing in Rome. During his career in the foreign service, he held the post of Director of Exterior Relations, Secretary-General of the Ministry Foreign Affairs from 1960-1964, Director of the Civil Service in 1964, and First Counsellor, Gabonese Embassy, Federal Republic of Germany from 1965-1966. In the late 1960's Mr. Davin was Gabon's ambassador to a variety of Northern European countries, as well as the European Economic Community (EEC) and the Holy See.
