Flag of Republic of Guinea Is Raised at UN Headquarters
The flag of the Republic of Guinea was raised for the first time at United Nations Headquarters today. The red, yellow and green flag officially took its place among the 81 other banners flying outside the headquarters of the UN in New York. During the brief ceremony, UN Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold reaffirmed the welcome extended to Guinea when it became the 82nd member of the United Nations last December.
