U.N. Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjöld is now visiting New Zealand, nearing the end of his six-week tour of the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific, which he started on 15 January. His programme in New Zealand included talks with high Government officials in Wellington, a meeting with the Cabinet, a Government reception at the Parliament House, a press conference, a civic reception at the Town Hall in Auckland; a visit to a Maori village and a climb of Mount Ruapehu, a 9,000 ft. extinct volcano at Chateau Tongario in the Center of the North Island.
