UN Emergency Force (UNEF) for the Middle East

Twenty four countries contributed to the U.N. Emergency Force for the Middle East (23 with troops and the U.S. with transport and supplies). Some of these troops are on their way to Capodichino airport, near Naples, staging area of the force. Others have already reached Egypt.
The first Norwegian contingent in the plane transporting it to Capodichino airport. The C 124 Globemaster carrying the men is the largest plane ever landed in Norway.
