UNEF Commander on Inspection Tour of Desert Outposts

Major General E.L.M. Burns, Commander of the United Nations Emergency Force (UNEF) in the Middle East, is currently on a tour of inspection of UNEF outposts in the Sinai desert, where he is shown (centre) as he inspected a Ferret armored car at El Quasima. The Ferret is one of the vehicles used for patrol duty by the No. 56 Canadian Reconnaissance Squadrom, Royal Canadian Armored Corps.
