Dr. Ralph Bunche Visits UNEF

Dr. Ralph Bunche, UN Under-Secretary for Special Political Affairs, arrived in Gaza on 23 April for a six-day visit with the United Nations Emergency Force (UNEF). During his stay, Dr. Bunche called on most of the national contingents serving with UNEF.
During his visit to the Swedish Company stationed at Sharm el Sheikh, Dr. Bunche (r.) takes a look at the miniature ""zoo"" maintained by the soldiers. Sole tenants are the two small turtles shown in the photograph.
