Ceremony for International Day of Peace in South Sudan

David Shearer, Special Representative of the Secretary-General for South Sudan and Head of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), holds a candle in observance of the International Day of Peace (21 September). On the occasion the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), the University of Juba and the Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission (JMEC) organized a panel discussion on ""Right to Peace"" and the way forward for South Sudan in implementing the revitalized peace deal; senior government and military officers, diplomats, academics and students attended.
