Goat Vaccination Drive Conducted by UNIFIL Peacekeepers

In addition to their normal duties, including extensive patrolling and monitoring activities, peacekeepers serving with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) regularly offer small-scale support to UNIFIL's host communities. The UNIFIL Indian battalion regularly offers veterinary services to the thirteen villages that fall within their purview, including a recently-completed vaccination drive in which 1600 goats were inoculated for foot and mouth disease in a single day.
