Portrait of Alfonso García Robles, Permanent Representative of Mexico to the United Nations, who presented his credentials to Secretary-General U Thant at United Nations Headquarters today.
Mr. García Robles was Mexico's Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs from May 1964 to November 1970. He has been chairman of Mexico's delegation to the General Assembly from the nineteen (1964) through the twenty-fifth sessions, and was a member of the delegation at five previous sessions.
