New York City Honours UN Secretary-General Hammarskjöld at Start of his 2nd Term

UN Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjöld, who today began his second five-year term of office, was honoured by the City of New York at a luncheon given for him in the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, attended by 700 business and political figures.
