Secretary-General Arrives in Nicosia

25 August 1974

Secretary-General Kurt Waldheim arrived on Sunday, 25 August, for a brief visit to Cyprus, at the British sovereign base in Akrotiri, here he was met by his Special Representative, Luis Weckmann-Munoz, the Commander of the UN Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP), Major General D. Prem Chand, and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Sadruddin Agha Khan.
