India's Prime Minister Visits U.N. Headquarters

The Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who is at present in the United States, came to New York today for a two-day visit at United Nations Headquarters. This picture shows Mr. Nehru (center) arriving in the General Assembly auditorium to deliver an informal address to guests and delegates, after a reception given in his honour by the representative from India.
Escorting Mr. Nehru are Prince Wan Waithayakon (left) of Thailand, President of the current session of the General Assembly, and Mr. Dag Hammarskjöld, Secretary-General of the United Nations.
