Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjöld (left) meets with Jawaharlal Nehru, Prime Minister of India. The Secretary-General traveled to Peking to seek the release of all UN Command personnel detained against their will, including 11 U.S. airmen sentenced to imprisonment on espionage charges.
