UN Force in the Congo

Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjöld at the airport prior to his return to Leopoldville. The Secretary-General arrived in Democratic Republic of the Congo to carry out the terms of the Security Council resolution calling upon Belgium to withdraw its troops and allowing the entry of the UN Force into the province of Katanga.
