UN General Assembly Takes up Question of Palestine

13 November 1974

The UN General Assembly today took up the question of Palestine. The first speaker was Yasser Arafat, head of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). The Assembly voted on 14 October to invite the PLO to participate in its deliberations on the subject.
