United Nations and its Secretary-General Receive Nobel Peace Prize

The United Nations and its Secretary-General, Kofi Annan, today received the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo, Norway, on the 100th anniversary of the prestigious award.
Secretary-General (left) and Han Seung-soo (Republic of Korea), President of the fifty-sixth session of the General Assembly, hold the Nobel Peace Prize. The President of the fifty-sixth General Assembly accepted the award on behalf of the United Nations.
