UNITED NATIONS AND ITS SECRETARY-GENERAL RECEIVE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE

Secretary-General Kofi ANNAN (centre), Nane ANNAN (right) and Mrs. HAN Seung-soo (Republic of Korea), spouse of the President of the fifty-sixth session of the General Assembly, are in Oslo to accept the Nobel Peace Prize. The President of the fifty-sixth General Assembly will accept the award on behalf of the United Nations.
