Kremlin: Russian Federation

The Kremlin, a citadel looming over Moscow with the city's streets radiating from it in all directions, is a fortress ringed by twenty towers and gates. It is the centre of Government where the Russian president is based.
The Cathedral of the Dormition of the Virgin is the largest and most historic of the cathedrals in the Kremlin, with a central dome and four subsidiary domes, all gilded. The Cathedral was completed in 1479.
