Secretary-General Visits UNIFIL Contingents in South Lebanon

11 June 1984

Secretary-General Javier Perez de Cuellar visited today contingents of the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in South Lebanon. He was met at the Headquarters of the Finnish Battalion in the Village of Bourj Qallawiyah, by Col. J. Tenhunen, Commander of the Finnish Contingent. On the right is Col. J. Tenhunen, Commander of the Finnish Contingent and on the left is Brian Urquhart, Assistant Secretary-General for Special Political Affairs.
