Flag of the People's Republic of China Raised at UN Headquarters

On 25 October 1971, the General Assembly (by a vote of 76 in favour to 35 against, with 17 abstentions) recognized the representatives of the People's Republic of China as the only legitimate representatives of China to the United Nations.
United Nations Security Officers are in the process of raising the flag of the People's Republic of China along with the flags of other Member States at United Nations Headquarters this morning.
