International Year of the Child (IYC) - 1979

1 January 1978

To mark the 20th anniversary of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, the UN has proclaimed 1979 International Year of the Child (IYC). It has asked the world community to renew and reaffirm concern for the present and future of children.
