Trade Committee of United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Meets
While trade between countries of eastern and western Europe has been growing each year during the past decade, the rate of growth has declined in the past 18 months. Noting this trend, the Committee on the Development of Trade of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (ECE) has reached unanimous agreement that a further growth of this trade is desirable. The Trade Committee, which has been exploring means of helping governments achieve this aim, held its 13th Session in Geneva from 19 to 27 October. Present were delegates from 26 ECE member countries and observers from four other nations.
