South Africa's President Visits UN Headquarters

Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali (second from right) presents an advance copy of a book entitled: ""The United Nations and Apartheid, 1948-1994"" to President Nelson Mandela of the Republic of South Africa, at UN Headquarters in New York. Samir Sanbar (right) is the Assistant Secretary-General, Department of Public Information, and Lakhdar Brahimi (second from left) is former Secretary-General's Special Representative for South Africa and currently is his Special Representative for Haiti.
