Women's Conference Meets in Copenhagen, 14-30 July 1980

The World Conference of the UN Decade for Women, adopted 48 resolutions concerning women, along with a world Programme of Action for the second half of the Decade for Women. Delegates from the 152 UN Member States, along with representatives or specialized agencies and other national and international groups participated in the Conference, the results of which will be submitted to the 35th General Assembly meeting in New York this fall.
