United Nations Emergency Force in Gaza

1 June 1959

The United Nations Emergency Force (UNEF), since its creation during the winter of 1956, has maintained a constant vigil along the Armistice Demarcation Line and the International Frontier. A Royal Canadian Air Force Squadron stationed at El Arish Airport provides air coverage to UNEF.
Inside the hangar at El Arish Airport mechanics of the Royal Canadian Air Force Squadron are busy in changing the engine of an ""Otter"" plane.
