Secretary-General Visits UNTAG Military Headquarters in Namibia

1 July 1989

During a tour of the United Nations Transition Assistance Group (UNTAG) operations in Namibia, Secretary-General Javier Perez de Cuellar (standing) and his top aides met with Bishop Dumeni (seated at head of table) and other religious leaders at the headquarters of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in northern Namibia. Discussions centred on issues relating to the implementation of resolution 435.
