General Assembly Adopts Text on IAEA Report by Recorded Vote

4 November 2003

The Assembly today adopted a resolution on the annual report of the International Atomic Energy Agenc: (IAEA). By that text, adopted by a vote of 129 in favour to one against (Democratic People's Republic of Korea), the world body affIrmed its support for the Agency's indispensable role in encouraging and assisting the development of practical application of atomic energy for peaceful uses and in technology transfer to developing countries and in nuclear safety, verification and security.
