Secretary-General Visits Santiago, Chile

Secretary-General Kofi Annan (third from left) arrived in the Chilean capital, Santiago de Chile, this morning for the first leg of his four-country South American tour. Mr. Annan meeting with Alicia Barcena (second from left), the acting Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), and Heraldo Munoz (far right), Chairman of the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1267 (1999) concerning AI-Qaida, Taliban and associated individuals and entities.
