Press Conference on ""Battle Of Hope"", a World AIDS Day Boxing and Musical Event

Today at UN Headquarters, a Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the United Nations sponsored press conference was held to draw attention to the Battle of Hope, a World AIDS Day boxing and musical event to take place in Abuja, Nigeria on 10 January 2004. The organizers hoped that the Battle of Hope would create awareness for AIDS relief in Africa, as well as trafficking of women and child labor in Nigeria. The Battle of Hope will feature a six round bout with Laila Ali, daughter of heavyweight boxing champion Mohammed Ali and professional boxer, along with various musical artists.
