Secretary-General Meets with Newly Established Panel of Eminent Persons on UN Relations with Civil Society

Secretary-General Kofi Annan, in a report to the fifty-seventh session of the General Assembly, and with the intention of strengthening the United Nations, established a Panel of Eminent Persons on United Nations Relations with Civil Society, and appointed Fernando Henrique Cardoso as the Special Adviser and Chairman of the Panel earlier this year.
