General Assembly Meeting on Follow-Up Session of 2001 Special Session on HIV/AIDS

In June of 2001, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a comprehensive Declaration of Commitment at the end of a three-day special session on HIV/AIDS containing specific timetables and setting a blueprint for mobilizing a greatly accelerated response to the pandemic. Today's plenary is devoted to the follow-up to the outcome of this commitment.
