General Assembly Discusses Illegal Israeli Actions in Occupied East Jerusalem and Occupied Palestinian Territory

The Tenth Emergency Special Session of the General Assembly was convened today due to the negative vote of the United States of 14 October, a permanent member, in which the Security Council then failed to adopt a draft resolution that would have declared illegal the construction by Israel, the occupying Power, of a wall in the occupied territories departing from the armistice line of 1949.
