Secretary-General Visits Brussels, Belgium

Guy Verhofstadt (left), Prime Minister of Belgium, and Secretary-General Kofi Annan (right) at the inauguration ceremony of the European Regional United Nations Information Centre in Brussels, which replaces nine national UN information centers that were closed down at the end of 2003. The Secretary-General traveled to Brussels, Belgium, on the fifth leg of his 12-day trip to Europe.
