Ebola Suvivors Gather to Share Experiences and Support

Ebola survivors attend a weekly meeting of ""Association des Vainqueurs d'Ebola (AVE)"" or the Ebola Survivors Association at the General Hospital in the town of Beni in the North Kivu region of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Since its creation in January 2019, the association has grown from a small group of 23 survivors to over 100 survivors, offering support, as well as a forum to share experiences and challenges that are faced by survivors when they return home to their communities. The current Ebola outbreak is the largest ever in DRC.
